The Sogang Language Program, an English institute for children operated by Sogang University, has prepared presentations to recruit new students to its 57 schools starting Thursday.

The Rainbow Bridge course for children aged 5 to 7 was developed reflecting the pedagogical goals announced by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. The university has developed teaching materials to correspond exactly with children�s emotional needs and interests, combining development in speaking, listening, writing and reading - all the functions of communication. The course also reaches outside language to teach help children enjoy a well-rounded upbringing, learning about health, society and general subjects, and not just English.

The SLP kindergarten course helps teach children how to read books in English through its online book reading program, called SORI. After completing the kindergarten course, students can continue to study with the SAP course, which uses textbooks from the United States as well as SLP-developed materials.

The Sogang Language Program is an English institute established by Sogang University based on the educational theories of the respected institution and designed to provide proper English education for children and teenagers.

SLP programs are differentiated for kindergarten, elementary, middle and high school, up to courses for students with experience living abroad. Since it was established in 1994, SLP has been acknowledged as a specialized English educational institute for children, with 57 branches now in operation.

HKA uses Musical Theater to teach English as a second language at 25 schools and institutes in and around Seoul. The company is three years old and has grown exponentially in the last two years. We are seeking additional teachers for the 2010-2011 school year. We are actively seeking teachers with strong arts backgrounds or performers with extensive teaching experience, as we have learned over the last few years that this particular teaching job requires a wide range of skills.

Prospective teachers will participate in an audition and interview process, and will need to provide both performance and teaching resumes with references. The interview and audition process is relatively competitive. We are not seeking performers who want to take a year off. We are not looking for teachers who have no arts experience. Instead, we are interested in teaching artists who can communicate their love of the arts to first through fifth grade children, no matter the language barrier. Our current teachers range in age from 22-34, come from all over the US, and have a wide range of teaching and performing backgrounds. This job is opened to the people possessing the citizenship of USA, Canada, England, and Australia only.

Contracts are for one year (February 2010-February 2011). HKA teachers receive free housing in single occupancy furnished apartments with a washing machine. Salary is $2.5 Million Won per month. The maximum teaching requirement is 30 hours per week. All visa-related expenses are covered by the company, as well as 50% of medical costs. Teachers also receive two weeks paid vacation, all school holidays, and return air ticket. (where applicable).

Currently we are seeking teaching artists who already live in Korea. The boss doesn't look over your shoulder, so you will enjoy the relaxed atmosphere here. You will have 2 to 5 office hours a day -lots of time to sit on the Internet!
The private school is in Seoul, a 3 minute walk from Muakjae Station (line 3).
The contract will be for 12 months.
You will have 2 days paid sick leave and all national holidays too.

Working hours will be from 14:30 to 21:30 but you will only have 3 to 5 45 minute classes a day.
